ALMR R. PLUMMER - BIOGRAPHY

Ms. Plummer is a Vice President with the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC), the City of Philadelphia’s primary economic development corporation.  PIDC is a not-for-profit Pennsylvania corporation, founded in 1958 by the City of Philadelphia and the Greater Chamber of Commerce.  PIDC uses public financing and real estate resources to support the attraction, retention and expansion of businesses in Philadelphia.

Ms. Plummer’s primary responsibility is the redevelopment of 1,000 acres at The Navy Yard.  Ms. Plummer’s position involves her in all aspects of property acquisition, sale, development, management and leasing.

Prior to this position, Ms. Plummer practiced architecture for 12 years consecutively at Kise Straw Kolonder Architects and Bower Lewis Thrower, Architects both firms of Philadelphia.  Ms. Plummer served as Project Architect and Project Manager on varies public and private developments ranging from residential, commercial, recreational and industrial projects.

Ms. Plummer received a Bachelor of Architecture/Urban Studies from New Jersey Institute of Technology.   Ms. Plummer’s professional affiliations include the American Institute of Architects, National Organization of Minority Architects, Habitat for Humanity, National Organization of Commercial Real Estate of Women, Northeast Riverfront Task Force and Reading Terminal Market Corporation – Design Review Committee.
