Glen Abrams, AICP is an Urban Watersheds Planner for the Philadelphia Water Department and serves as adjunct faculty at Philadelphia University where he teaches Environmental Science. For the Water Department, Mr. Abrams provides technical assistance to City departments, community groups and regional agencies to develop watershed preservation and restoration initiatives. Key to this work is encouraging the use of land-based approaches, such as low-impact or sustainable site design, to manage urban stormwater runoff. In addition, Mr. Abrams leads a team that is implementing innovative stormwater management demonstration projects in Philadelphia.
